Make family, friends, and colleagues aware of MATAN. Inform those parents or relatives with children with special needs about the programs and services we offer. Distribute MATAN brochures or flyers to synagogues, schools, doctors' offices, therapists, Jewish organizations, community centers, libraries, and other places children/parents frequent. Talk with friends, school policy-makers, and community leaders about the obligation of teaching all our Jewish children - including those with special needs.

Contact your local newspaper, TV, and radio station and pitch a story about MATAN, the need for special education in religious schools, and the need for greater inclusion and accommodation in church and synagogue communities.

Join us as we march together in the Salute to Israel Parade. This exhilarating experience involves students, parents, staff, board members, volunteers of all ages, MATAN supporters, and anyone who cares about this issue. Contact us throughout the year to buy a MATAN T-shirt and join us in late Spring for this annual event in New York City.

Bring your special skills to our attention. On the organizational side, we welcome assistance in data entry, graphic artistry, grant proposals, fund raising, marketing, and public relations. We are eager to work with you to incorporate your skills into our projects and programs.

On the program side, we also welcome you to join our team. MATAN is always on the lookout for Jewish special educators to teach and supervise classes, assist with modifying curricula, or share their wisdom with mainstream teachers in Jewish schools. We also welcome Jewish educators and volunteer assistants in the classroom. This is a wonderfully enriching experience for all age groups: B'nai Mitzvot, teenagers, and adults alike.

Consider MATAN speakers when planning conferences, lectures, or fundraisers. Our representatives have addressed a range of topics at events across the country. Inform us of community events in your area at which we could distribute MATAN brochures.

Your place of employment can be a great source for raising funds in support of MATAN. Talk to your company about becoming a corporate sponsor of our education and outreach events. Help us determine if your company has a corporate giving or foundation program that may benefit MATAN.

Hosting an outreach event in your home provides a wonderful opportunity for MATAN to reach individuals & families in diverse communities and to raise funds to support our efforts. Our office will assist you and a committee of your friends in planning a successful and meaningful event.
